America’s Most Literate Cities, 2007


When it comes to being book smart, Lexington is on the move. Topping Central Connecticut State University's list are Minneapolis, Seattle, St. Paul, Denver and Washington, DC. Everything from newspaper circulation to the number of libraries and bookstores determine the rankings. In our region, Lexington at # 17 scored better than Nashville, Columbus, Indianapolis and Louisville.
