Young People Don't Vote Early

I took a good look around our polling place at 5:45 this morning and I don't think I saw anyone under 40. The lines are huge so it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of young people don't vote because the "drive-thru" at the polls just isn't moving quickly enough for them. I personally think it should be easier for us to vote when presidential elections roll around. I would like to see an "election weekend" where you can vote on Saturday, Sunday & Monday with Monday being a federal holiday.

The line is only one hour long today in west palm! I was amazed!

5:45?!!

We generally go around 10:30 after the early birds get thru. A gazillion have already voted early here in Fla so I don't anticipate too much delay

The polls opened at 7 here in South Carolina. Kacey and I arrived in line at 6:55. Halfway through the line, they divided people by last name. Kacey was still registered as Kacey Fields. The N-Z line was much faster (one of the few times I've ever benefited from my last name). I was finished at 9:12 and Kacey was done at about 10:05. So a little over 2 hours for me, and a little over 3 for Kacey. Big turnout in the Palmetto State.

NORMAL people don't vote that early. I would've voted Obama/Pelin or McCain/Biden that early in the morning.

Absentee ballot here. No lines.
