KY Goes Bowling

along with 69 other teams. 35 bowl games kind of takes some of the luster off the invitation but KY will be playing Pitt in the BBVA COMPASS BOWL I'm sure you've heard of it.

I'll take it! Kentucky's only been to 15 bowls in its history, 5 of which have been the past 5 years. I'd say Brooks and Joker have done some great things here. Hopefully it's a foundation for bigger things later.

Congrats to the Cats! I'm still trying to figure out the BBVA part.

Good question Rick. I called their customer service line and the guy didn't know so he put me on hold but I hung up after a 5 minute wait and did some online searching and here is what I found:
It's Spanish - BBVA stands for Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria.

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA), (NYSE: BBVA, BMAD: BBVA) is a multinational Spanish banking group. It was formed in 1999 from a merger of Banco Bilbao Vizcaya and Argentaria, both of which in turn had previously amalgamated three important banks in Spain, namely Banco de Bilbao, Banco de Vizcaya, Banco Exterior de Espana and the state-owned Caja Postal de Ahorros, with other minor entities. BBVA is the second largest bank in Spain and 7th largest financial institution in the Western world with a market capitalization of over 61 billion

Now you can amaze your friends. If we win, maybe they will loan us the money for a new stadium and arena?

Yep, that's what I like about college football. It's an "All American" sport.
