I concede. The pressure of being #1 for SO LONG was just too much. So now, the question is, "What do you win?".

Uh...no.

But nice try.

Check out who Kacey and I have winning the national championship.

If Kansas wins, we finish 1-2. The national championship is worth 32 points. But if Memphis wins, then yes, you and Lyndsey are 1-2.

I have no idea what that stupid comment means. Memphis was the better team. "If" they could have hit just 1 more free throw....

I just now saw the updated post. You're not bitter, are you?

The theory behind the scoring system is that you have to make better picks to get the later rounds right than you do for the early rounds. Picking a 1 over a 16 should not be worth as much as picking the national champion, especially since your pick for the national champion has to win five games before they get to the championship game. It's quality over quantity.

I'm sure you already knew that though. Every pool I've ever seen has a weighted scoring system like this. I could have given bonus points for getting upsets correct, but that seemed unfair. It would have been some motivation for Rick to pick some, though. For what it's worth, I thought I had no chance after the second round.
