Suicide attempt - that's all I can say. Having run 4 marathons in 3 years ('99-'01) - the last one at age 50 (my best time), I can honestly say I believe he was attempting to commit suicide in a very dramatic fashion. Speaking of suicide, I think I'll run another when I turn 60.

I'm gonna run my first race of any kind...the half-marathon at Kiawah Island in December. Should be fun. Much more fun than 7 marathons in a week.
