"Question....Hey...I Have A Question!"

If the government gives the "big "three" (as they have so cleverly marketed themselves) 20 billion dollars; what will they do with it? Correct me if I'm wrong but if people aren't buying their cars (mostly because the unions have destroyed the quality and the pricing of their products) that would mean the people who manufacture the cars would not be very busy on the assembly line. So would the money go toward continuing to pay people who are not really needed to manufacture cars no one is buying? Or would the money be used to pay off other loans which is borrowing from Peter to pay Paul which always has disastrous results? OK - that's two questions. Sorry about that.

The part that drives me crazy is the idea that they can't file bankruptcy because no one would buy a car from a bankrupt company. That's crazy!! When our airline filed for bankruptcy every seat was filled. Why? Because the tickets were cheap. If a company restructures, provides a quality, inexpensive product with good service, it will survive and people will keep coming back. Business 101.

I think it's funny they came back this week packed in a hybrid looking for more money-$32 Billion. Like Jon Stewart said - "do you think you were turned down last week because you didn't ask for enough?"
