Congratulations Ted!(Smoking the victory cigar)Unfortunately the only thing you'll receive is this blog post. Mary and I had a blast watching the Derby festivities in Charleston, SC on TV with Kacey, Justin and of course Luke and Lyndsey, Andrew and of course Kate. Great job with the beer cheese and mint juleps Justin and Mary did a superb job with the KY Hot Browns and the Derby Pie. It was great spending Derby Day with family!

That was a lot of fun. I love Kentucky.
Honored for the post.
Beer cheese caught my attention. I'm familiar with the other vittles but not beer cheese. Sounds like the result of a "happy accident" between beer and cheese. Please elaborate.....
See below. It's a Kentucky thing.
Beer Cheese
2 cups finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp cayenne (ground red) pepper
1/4 tsp Tabasco sauce
1/2 cup flat beer (Miller Lite or similar beer works)
Combine all dry ingredients in food processor and pulse 2-3 times. Once partially shredded, add beer and blend until smooth.
Thanks Justin - I'll give it a try. I presume it's a dip - or should I grill it up :)
This video should also help. It's a dip.
