I caught John McCain on Meet the Press this morning and I have to admit, I think McCain did a pretty good job of defending his conservatism. As of right now, I could support either Romney or McCain.
im with romney. he was a governor as opposed to 25 of dc baggage that that mccain carries. either way, i'll support the winner. hows your knee? ive been thinking about you.
McCain's military experience is a huge asset but I too am leaning toward Romney. The race will be over by the time it gets to KY anyway. Knee is sloowly coming along but I can see and feel progress. I like my physical therapist and that's helpful. Thanks for asking.
They're pounding it hard down here in Fl-primary is this Tues. Phone never stops ringing, you better hope its over by the time it gets to KY. McCain's always been my man, but I thought he was folding his tent up last year with no money and no staff so I was looking at Romney. Care's sister and her husband live in Mass and weren't supporting him (they were Thompson folks) so I was an "undecided" till McCain made his comeback. Care was for Guiliani but he'll be history after Fla-he did some great things in NY but his message got lost somewhere along the way. I'll vote for either one over Hillary Obama, but I'm getting really tired of Rush,Hannity, et al, saying McCain's not a true Republican, not a true Conservative, etc. The man speaks his mind and votes his conscience
Might want to check out the following bills sponsored by McCain:
McCain-Lieberman - global warming McCain-Kennedy - amnesty for illegals McCain-Feingold - banned soft money for campaigns, allowed for the growth of the Move-on.orgs, etc. Lieberman, Kennedy, and Feingold are not what one would consider conservative by any stretch of the imagination.

I like John McCain too..That's why I'm so undecided. I think that he has the best plan for Iraq.

And was considered by Kerry for Veep . . .
Thanks Rick - all legitimate points, But if he's the nominee, I would definitely support him over Obama. (I've already declared him the winner)
Ditto, no doubt about it! Hillary or Obama is absolutely the worst thing that could happen.
Hillary's getting the nomination. Write it down.
You just don't really bet against the Clintons. They're a political machine.
By the way, Hillary getting the nomination will mobilize conservatives in hordes to vote against her. Plus, McCain would get a lot of moderate votes.
Let's see. How do you spell Hillary? l.y.i.n.g. c.r.o.o.k.
