Unfortunately, I'm afraid this is a liberal get out the vote tactic. Founders Norman Lear and Keith Carradine are not exactly Conservative idealists. I have a sneaking suspicion that these performers were "born again" in November, 2008. Thus the singers from Harlem and the performer from San Francisco.
Norman Lear, the television producer behind such hit shows as All in the Family and Sanford and Son, founded the anti-Christian-right movement in 1980 when he launched People for the American Way. His new campaign, Born Again American, borrows evangelical language in trying to promote civic engagement and political involvement. . .
This is the kind of stuff the left is doing -putting a country twang to the music and sucking people in. Really scary stuff when you think about it.

I guess I have been duped....the website seems non-partisan to me.
