It's always very moving. The one shot of the row of boots and weapons with helmuts on them (you can see the USMC Eagle, globe and anchor insignia) was during Charlie's first tour at Al Asad. Thirty Marines from the base had lost (given) their lives. It's what Memorial Day is all about.
One of the most moving and difficult tasks of my life was to escort a friends body from Charleston, SC to Birmingham, AL for his military funeral. Part of the task is to present the flag to his widow at the service. After the service, I got in my vehicle and cried like a baby. My last two years in the Air Force we had something like 7 C130 crashes. I had friends or knew someone on every one of those airplanes. The military puts its' butt on the line EVERYDAY for this country. Too bad it's not recognized more by those who lead this country.

Special thanks to Charlie for his service and to Justin!
The most difficult thing we do in our job is bring one (or some) of our boys back home in a flag-draped box.
Special thanks to Rick too!
