Warning: Another Commercialized Holiday Is On The Way

Valentine's Day. Another day manufactured and promoted by the card, chocolate, jewelry, restaurant, flower, and other businesses to get into our pockets. Another day to feel guilty for not going all out and spending a lot of $ to show significant others or spouses that we really do care. Do we really need a "holiday" for this? Isn't this something we can do on our own without being manipulated by commercialism? Heck, I try to remember to put the toilet seat down and put my stuff away and say I love you everyday. Do I really need to go out and spend $ on Feb 14th? No and Mary agrees with me, and that's one of many reasons why I love her. Happy Valentines Day Mary! Priceless. Anti-Valentine's Day sentiments have long been embraced by singles, but now couples like us scoff at the holiday, too.

Yeah, if you need a holiday to remind you that you should do something nice for your wife, there are probably some issues there.

This holiday is kind of a racket. Although, I do like eating those hearts that have stupid sappy sayings on them.

I like Valentine's Day. It's a special day carved out to make someone feel extra special! I think you should make Miss Mary some dinner and buy some flowers!

Would you rather have Mike surprise you on a random day and make you feel extra special or do it on a particular day because he has to? I like the idea of making the dinner however because it won't cost any extra money. We have tomato soup in the pantry and enough cheese for a grilled cheese sandwich. The flowers though are going to cost me. :)

One time I ate a lot of those pink valentine hearts. Then, I got really sick. It was the prettiest vomit I've ever seen.

Does anyone remember that? I'm pretty sure it was on Hifner Rd.

Tomato soup and grilled cheese-works for me! Of course I'm speaking for myself, I mean, if Care wants something different I did see chicken noodle,or, I think I have some charcoal for the grill...
