Coulda, Shoulda, Woulda...we should be 10-2 - not 7-5
KY should actually be 10-2. We should have beat South Carolina, Miss State, and Tennessee. We should be 10-2 and believe it or not we were actually in positions to beat FL & Georgia. Our losses drove me nuts because we were good enough to win. It's one thing to watch a game and know you're going to lose because you're just out-manned but it's something entirely different to watch a game and lose it and know you should have won. That's enough to make your blood pressure rise quickly. It was hard enough for me, a fan, to watch some of our losses and know we coulda, shoulda won if we woulda done just a few things differently. But I can't imagine how Rich Brooks must feel. Coaching a team like KY has got to be tough. We're almost there, but not quite or are we there? I don't know. KY football has sure shown improvement the last 2 years. It's interesting that a 7-5 season would be a disappointment but it is...ask Rich Brooks. I would have probably had a stroke if I was him. But we're going bowling again - probably in Nashville again for the Music City Bowl (We beat Clemson last year 28-20) or in Memphis for the Liberty Bowl. We'll take what we can get but it "shoulda" been better!

The best UK football season I can remember but still so frustrating. It was a fun one though, and we still have one to play. I'm pulling for maybe the Music City or Peach to play against Florida State. That would be fun, considering the Kacey connection.
There are rumors of Grandpa Brooks retiring after the bowl game. That would be quite sad.
Great comeback and what a tough loss! They would break into the Fl-Fl State game with live action and I couldn't believe all the overtimes. Fl was spanking Fl State so bad I was hoping they would go back to Tn-Ky - much better game!
Kentucky-Tennessee. One of the best games I have ever witnessed. I have never watched a 4 OT before and this one would could have ended either way. Congratulations to Tennessee. Congratulations to Kentucky. They'll be talking about this game when we're old men. Wait. We ARE old men! ;-)
Grandpa Brooks is not retiring.
